Welcome to the Florida Anti-Car Theft Committee Home Page

The Florida Anti-Car Theft Committee (F.A.C.T.) is a not-for-profit corporation formed in 1995 through a cooperative effort between law enforcement, business, and the auto insurance community to raise awareness and seek solutions for Florida’s serious auto theft problem.

Since its inception the F.A.C.T. committee has organized numerous community events and programs about auto theft. F.A.C.T. is well known for its two video based education programs that are now widely used in Florida’s Middle Schools and High Schools. These programs focus on the consequence of auto theft, and teach prevention behaviors.

The F.A.C.T. Committee is also recognized for hosting the Summits on Auto Theft in Florida in 2001 and 2002. The summits were attended by law enforcement, judiciary, insurance and industry experts who share the goal of reducing auto theft in the state of Florida.

Additional summits may be held in the future. Check this site for future announcements

Activities are funded through corporate sponsorships, grants and other contributions.
